Hot like pepper

We are in Love again. There is another city that has won our hearts and the winner is Kampot. Spontanously we left Sihanoukville by taxi in the evening instead of spending another night there.

Sunset in Kampot

In Kampot we stay in a wonderful guesthouse called Ta Eng which is run by a father and son. It is a real family buisness. We have a basic room in a nice and quiet area of town. 10 minutes of walking and we hit the bar street by the river. The cities vibe is relaxed, hip, a little run down but lovely and lively. Around town is lots to do, like visit Bokor National Park, see pepper grow and have flatrate crabs at the crab market.

The one that got away….

The next morning we just grab some brunch before we get on the bus to Phnom Penh. We eat in the cute epicarts cafe. The waiters are mostly deaf people so you order with a form. The food is amazing and it supports a good cause. Afterwards we head to Phnom Penh for a big city adventure and some history.
